O Círio 2024 foi aberto oficialmente com uma missa na Basílica Santuário, na terça-feira, 8, como já é tradição. A novidade da noite ficou por conta, logo após a cerimônia, da assinatura pelo governador do Pará, Helder Barbalho, formalizando o investimento de R$ 48 milhões na construção do Novo Santuário de Nazaré, em Belém.
“Vamos fortalecer a agenda do Círio de Nazaré para a estratégia de acolhimento dos devotos e dos peregrinos, além de fomentar o turismo católico para o nosso estado, gerando emprego e renda, para que grandes eventos ocorram; principalmente no período do Círio, com esse espaço adequado à grandeza da festa de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré”, disse Barbalho.
O documento, que oficializou o patrocínio, foi assinado pelo governador Helder Barbalho, pela vice-governadora Hana Ghassan, pelo arcebispo da Arquidiocese de Belém, Dom Alberto Taveira e por membros da Diretoria da Festa de Nazaré.
Logo após a assinatura, em frente ao Centro Social de Nazaré, de forma simbólica, integrantes do governo estadual e da igreja lançaram a Pedra Fundamental do Novo Santuário.
Traslado dos Carros
Nesta quarta-feira, a partir das 20h, acontece a primeira romaria oficial do Círio 2024, o Traslado dos Carros. Com concentração em frente à Basílica Santuário, em sua terceira edição, a procissão terá a participação da Imagem Peregrina no carro berlinda, com decoração de Djan Slaviero. Após percorrer um trajeto de 5 km em 2 horas, o trajeto se encerra no estacionamento do Porto Futuro.
A expectativa é reunir mais de 30 mil pessoas na procissão Traslado dos Carros.
Antes da romaria, os carros permanecerão em exposição em frente à Basílica Santuário durante todo o dia, a partir das 7h até 17h.
